Be prepared to also talk about characteristics of your “ideal” smile, what you want your “after” photos to look like. From there, Dr. Shah gathers information about your smile that is used to evaluate your teeth, bite, and smile line or lip contour. This typically involves imaging/a digital scan to see tiny details in your smile that can’t be clearly or sufficiently viewed with the unaided eye. Once Dr. Shah reviews this information, he can discuss the best recommendations to reach your goals. Before you leave, you will be provided with a clear plan and timeline.

Can veneers or bonding fix crooked teeth?
Some treatments that are primarily used for cosmetic correction may only be appropriate for slight spacing issues and mild misalignment. Bonding and veneers do not actually reposition the teeth. They cover up issues like small gaps or a rotated tooth. If Dr. Shah finds that your teeth are significantly crooked or your bite requires correction, clear aligners or another orthodontic treatment is generally recommended. These treatments gradually reposition the teeth and correct bite imbalances.
